How did I get so lucky?

There will be a longer post here soon. For now, just this, an inkling of the idea to remind me.
“Our culture invariably supposes that action and accomplishment is better than rest, that doing something–anything–is better than doing nothing. Because of our desire to succeed, to meet these ever-growing expectations, we do not rest. Because we do not rest, we lose our way. We miss the compass points that would show us where to go, we bypass the nourishment that would give us succor. We miss the quiet that would give us wisdom. We miss the joy and love born of effortless delight. Poisoned by this hypnotic belief that good things come only through unceasing determination and tireless effort, we can never truly rest. And for want of rest, our lives are in danger.”

First, there were eggs to be found.
Then there were dresses to put on and bubbles to be made!!
Then there were pancakes to eat, loved ones to call, family to enjoy, new snow to play in(!!) and movies to watch!
Bun Bun and his new life at Wheeler Farm
October 19th, 2009 § 0

Last year we adopted out our black bunny Bun Bun to a local urban farm. Bun Bun was found in Millcreek Canyon a year before that but we just had a hard time wintering over with him and knew he would be better taken care of somewhere like Wheeler Farm. Makes for a great place to visit with the kids! Natalie dug a bag of carrots from the garden and we bee lined for his hutch. Moira was worried he wouldn’t be there but he was – healthy, happy, furry, fat Bun Bun.
